Garden Grown Herbal Tinctures & Elixirs Class, Thursday October 4th, 6:30-9pm
Learn how to make delectable, healing herbal tinctures and elixirs with fresh medicinal herbs. Lindsay Perry of Full Flower Herbs will introduce some of the most versatile, beautiful, and easy to grow herbs, including their properties and uses, where to find them, and how to turn them into a treasure trove of herbal medicine to care for you and yours. Together the class will create a medicinal elixir--a potent extract made with alcohol and honey--that each person may take home. The herbs covered will be good candidates to grow in a garden and in containers, and the instructor will provide resources for further study of organic gardening.Lindsay Perry crafts the healing potions of Full Flower Herbs from her home in Durham. She learned to make and use plant medicine through study with local and regional teachers, including Kim Calhoun, the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, and Suki Roth. Her passion is growing and wildcrafting fresh medicinal herbs, while honoring and connecting with the plants.
