This is my favorite mocktail to make at the shop for our Beginner Mahjong and Mocktail class. It has a sweet and savory tang that is satisfying and not too saccharine which, as someone who doesn't have a very large sweet tooth, I prefer. Sometimes I find mocktails just taste like fruit juice to me and not very evolved from a palette and ingredient perspective. This one hits all the right notes and is very simple to make.

We carry a variety of simple syrups from Crescent Simples, a Richmond, Virginia based simple syrup company and this recipe comes right from them. They suggest adding in cucumbers as a garnish but since I don't always have those on hand I just skip those. You can also add vodka or gin if you want it alcoholic and a few cut up jalapeños would give it an extra punch.

Serve it in a fun colorful glass (of which we've got plenty to choose from) to make it even more festive.

Lime Jalapeno Limeade Mocktail Recipe:

1 oz lime juice

.75 oz Lime Jalapeno Simple Syrup

Topped with soda water

Combine the lime juice and simple syrup, muddle together and top it with soda water. Stir it all together to make sure everything is properly mixed and serve.

If you're looking for a snack that pairs nicely with this drink for a game night, a Sweet and Savory Furikake Snack Mix is a good combination.
