Ideal tenants are looking for a space that is quiet, cozy and artistic, in an environment that feels more like a home than an office space, alongside a community of supportive and like-minded entrepreneurs. Our private work space offices are perfect for artists, photographers, writers, designers, creative professionals, florists, maker entrepreneurs, and others looking for a less traditional but inspired work space. Leases begin April 1st, for a length of one year with the potential to renew the following year. Each office includes all utilities and internet included. Furnishings can be included if needed. In addition to a handful of larger offices, there are a couple of smaller spaces perfect for an emerging artist or business owner or person looking for just a private desk area.
Gather-Studios is run by Michelle Smith of Gather, an online shop and classroom space whose mission is to help others discover and create a beautiful, inspired life through curated experiences, community, conversation and design. Prior to Gather-Studios, Gather was a coworking office, brick and mortar shop, a coffee and tea shop and a classroom, with a location in downtown Cary and a smaller brick and mortar only version in downtown Raleigh.

Why Gather-Studios? As an introverted entrepreneur with a particular interest in personal sustainability and wellness, as well as the home, I am passionate about creating spaces that reflect my own values and allow me to thrive as a business owner and individual but that also allow me to interact with and create community. I believe that is achieved through work spaces that are filled with plants and light, that are cozy and aesthetically pleasing and feel like a home, but also a space that fosters nurturing and supportive relationships with the other tenants of the space, in a holistic way.
Throughout my fourteen years as an entrepreneur one of the common threads in my work has been in making spaces that help others succeed and in creating opportunities and environments for others to interact with. In building these spaces I continued to see over and over again the real lack of private office spaces that were centered around common themes, spaces for creative entrepreneurs and makers and artists, that were cozy and soft-edged, and aesthetically pleasing and community oriented. I saw the need for these spaces for both others and myself. I recognized that the heart of my business was in these aspects and that those areas are where I wanted to focus in the future. I am a big believer in trying things, and then editing and refining them until you find the most essential pieces. To me, the most essential pieces of Gather are here, within these walls, and I am excited about this new endeavor. I look forward to creating a new space alongside others, building upon an existing community and growing further. - Michelle
