Ji Ahn Kang, Apex, NC, Fine Artist

Meet local artist Ji Ahn Kang who makes beautiful three dimensional artwork featuring florals that look edible but are actually made with a paint medium. Ji Ahn actually went to fine art school in South Korea and then later became instagram famous for her cake decorating and even wrote a book about her skills. Wanting to transition to an art form that was more permanent but still had the same feel as her cake art, this art form emerged. Ji Ahn has original art pieces and art prints for sale in-person at Gather Goods Co and online. We are hosting a free meet the maker event on April 9th from 6-8pm at the shop.
