Textile artist, fine artist and quilter Michelle Wilkie wI’ll be speaking in our community room on Wednesday, September 9 at 11 AM on how to take your ideas and turn them into practical action. This talk is for our community cohort members, but we have a few spots open for the general public. There only a limited number of spots, so if you’re interested, you should sign up ASAP.
Michelle worked for many years at SAS in a project manager role before transitioning to being a full-time fine artist. She’s taken her expertise in creating tangible systems into her art practice And sharing how that can be done with your own work.
Michelle Wilkie is a textile artist and modern quilt designer whose practice blends traditional quilting techniques with contemporary aesthetics, embracing both improvisation and minimalism.
Over the past two years, Michelle's work has been featured in prominent venues across the US and international exhibitions in England, Taiwan, France, Italy, and Czechia.
Tea, seltzers and light snacks are provided as well. Feel free to bring your own food and BYOB if you want as well.
Unfortunately, due to the preparation time that both Gather and our instructors put into each class, cancellations and refunds cannot be made without 24 hours prior notice. Groups that signed up together with 4 or people need to provide 7 days cancellation notice. If you are unable to attend a class after you’ve registered a store credit will be issued.
