In late August my family and I took a roadtrip to the Norfolk, Virginia area and visited the Norfolk Virginia Botanical Garden, an approximately three hour drive from the Raleigh, NC area.
In addition to the butterfly house, one of the standouts was a rooftop garden, green roof installation on top of a shipping container created by landscape design firm 70 30 studio. Their motto is "where art and ecology meet."
